Arksio is designed with your privacy as the top priority. Your data never leaves your device or your personal iCloud account. Arksio does not operate its own servers for data storage. We cannot access, view, or retrieve your documents, photos, or personal information.
We collect only what you enter in the app: family member names, document types, expiry dates, document numbers, notes, insurance details, and photos or PDFs of your documents. This data is stored exclusively on your iPhone and your personal iCloud account.
All your data is stored locally on your iPhone using AsyncStorage. Photos and PDF files are saved to your app Documents folder (Documents/arksio_docs/). This folder is automatically backed up and synced to your personal iCloud account by iOS — Arksio has no access to this data.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, your Arksio data including photos and files will be automatically backed up and synced across your Apple devices using the same Apple ID. This sync is managed entirely by Apple — Arksio cannot access your iCloud data.
Account login is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google LLC), which supports email/password, Google Sign In, and Apple Sign In. Firebase Auth only stores your email address and display name for login purposes. Your password is never stored by Arksio. Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) is handled entirely by iOS.
Only you can access your data. It is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. Garmor Ventures LLC and its staff have no access to your documents, photos, files, or any personal information you enter in the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.
When you use the Share Document feature, a PDF is generated locally on your device. You choose what to include and who to share it with. Arksio does not transmit this PDF through any server.
Renewal reminders are scheduled locally on your device using iOS notifications. No personal data is transmitted to any server to send these notifications.
Arksio does not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking tools. We do not collect behavioral data, usage statistics, or device identifiers.
Your data lives on your device. You can delete all app data at any time from Profile → Manage Account → Clear All Data. Deleting the app removes all local data. To also remove data from iCloud, go to Settings → [Your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Arksio → Delete Data.
Arksio uses Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) only for account login. Firebase does not have access to your documents or files. Firebase privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Your data is protected by iOS device encryption, Face ID/Touch ID app lock, and iCloud encryption. Apple encrypts all iCloud data in transit and at rest. Arksio adds an additional app-level biometric lock for extra protection.
Arksio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Since your data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud, you have full control over it at all times. You can access, modify, export, or delete your data directly within the app or through iOS/iCloud settings.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of Arksio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
